Limit same time bookings for more than one performer

If you have limited resources related to performers you can use the “Limited bookings” plugin

In simplyBook.me you can set performers able to accept X many clients at same. In most cases for individual performers (and not classes), this number is set to only one. Meaning that only one client can be serviced by this performer at same time. If there are classes, this number can be set to 10, 15 or to however many can attend the class at the same time.

However we also often get the question on how to solve when there are more performers, but not all performers can serve a client at the same time. The following question is a good example:

“We have two therapists that use the same room, so if one therapist has a client, the other cannot book anyone.

 Is it possible to automatically block time on Therapist A’s schedule if Therapist B has a booking in that slot? For example, if therapist B has a client from 10.30- 11.30 on Monday, then that same time slot is not available for booking with therapist A.”

In simplyBook.me this can be solved by using the Limited bookings plugin. Simply Activate this problem and set the number of total bookings at the same time to the number of the limited ressource. In the above example, this would be 1 ! If 5 doctors were sharing 4  examination rooms, this number would be set to 4. This means that the first 4 performers booked would get the room and the 5th would not be bookable until a room is free.
